The Cleveland Institute of Music Opera Theater Presents

The Medium

by Gian Carlo Menotti

A musical drama

in two acts

Illusion. What we see is not always what is real.

What happens when illusion becomes reality? We may become confused by what we hope is so, rather than what we know to be true. Or, we're driven by things we don't understand, by change or a longing for things as they once were.

Illusion and reality collide in Menotti's The Medium. With Madam Flora's seance as the setting, she and her clients are drawn into a deceitful hoax that changes their world forever.

Presented at The Institute in University Circle, November 12 through 15 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets: $10 Adults, $5 Students and Seniors CALL 216-791-5000, ext. 411
